Ethics & Disclosure

Everything about how we make money, how we make our work, and how to hold us to it — in plain language.

Affiliate disclosure

Reelist is reader-supported. Some links on our site are affiliate links, which means if you click through and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We participate in the Amazon Associates program and other affiliate programs. These commissions help fund our work — and they never influence our verdicts, ratings, or which products we recommend. We recommend the best option for you, then link to it. If the best option pays us nothing, we still recommend it.

Editorial & AI transparency

We want you to know exactly how Reelist is made. Our articles are produced by our editorial team using AI-assisted drafting and research, and every piece is reviewed, fact-checked, and approved by a human editor before publication. Our bylines — Marcus Vane, Vivian Cross, Dr. Elliot Reyes, Simone Adler, and Theo Marsh — are the publication’s consistent editorial voices and columns, each with a defined beat and standard. They represent the viewpoints of Reelist, not claims about private individuals.

Independence

We accept no payment, free products in exchange for coverage, or “sponsored” placements from manufacturers or studios. No company gets to review, approve, or influence a piece before it runs. Our only obligation is to the reader.

Corrections

We aim to be accurate, and when we’re not, we fix it. Prices, specs, and availability change constantly; we verify against primary sources at time of writing, but if you find an error, email us and we’ll correct it and note the change.

Privacy

We collect only what we need to run the site and the newsletter. We don’t sell your data. If you subscribe, we use your email to send you Reelist and nothing else; you can unsubscribe anytime.
